Hi Randy

Thanks. That's the way to go.

Setting some data in a file is like putting a switch in the wall to "On".

Does not work if there is no wiring behind the switch.

(Hope you understand. I am not familar with the electricians vocabulary).

Have a nice Sunday
Jørgen

Jorgen,

I'm not going to need this, but I wanted to say thank you again for what you're doing for the Yamaha "community". Your software is invaluable.

Thank you for the midi2style update - I've been, thank G-d, quite busy and haven't been able to use it properly, though a few simple tests have worked out as programmed!

I hope one day you'll add a COSM section to the program!

Will keep you posted,
Chony

Jorgen - Yes, I understand - I've been a programmer in a prior life. You can't change data if you don't know where it's located. Without access to the transposition data itself, programming is a moot point. Hopefully, someone at Yamaha will listen and make their products "quite a bit" easier to use.

PS - I echo Chony and the other guy's comments. You should be commended for the time and efforts you have invested in developing software to support our "habits". We are all grateful!

Randy

Folks - for those interested, here is Steve Demming's response to my email request (transpose memory in music finder):
--------------------

"I have forwarded your request to our design group. I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you. We've had this request before, and it's been this way for a long time now. I have no reason to believe that it can't be done, other than the fact that it hasn't been done up till now. "

----------------------
Not the response I was hoping for. Maybe enough people telling them will make a difference.

Randy

And knowing Yamaha, even if they DO include this or a lyrics link, it won't be retrospective. you will HAVE to buy a new board to get it
