Sometime ago, I read your post on another forum regarding a longer power chord for the PAS. I'll assume you were successful in getting the longer chord, and if I may ask, what length did you get and where did you get it?

The Home Depot cord was a 25-foot, 12-gauge extension cord, which was lightest gauge you could go.

I also made a longer power cord for the base unit, which is also a 12-gauge cord measuring 10 feet. I tried using a 14-gauge power cord for the base unit and experienced cut-outs. When I switched to 12-gauge wire the problem dissapeared.
