I'll assume you were successful in getting the longer chord, and if I may ask, what length did you get and where did you get it? Ciao, Jerry

travlin'easy Senior Member Registered: 12/08/02 Posts: 15576 Loc: Forest Hill, MD USA	The Home Depot cord was a 25-foot, 12-gauge extension cord, which was lightest gauge you could go. I also made a longer power cord for the base unit, which is also a 12-gauge cord measuring 10 feet. I tried using a 14-gauge power cord for the base unit and experienced cut-outs. When I switched to 12-gauge wire the problem dissapeared.
