Look to the sky... That's where a lot of us get this information (or Ian has some of those cheap Canadian drugs we all get smuggled across the border because our own government doesn't think we should negotiate with bloodsucking drug companies!)

Hope the recovery is going well, BTW, Ian...

Well, I hope to Dear G-d, that they have put in amazing drum and bass samples, in addition to lots and lots of great rock and dance beats.

I can handle waiting until September to see if I'm going to make the switch to Korg...

Chony dont wish too hard in their eyes drums & bass are just fine judging by previous models without much change.....just like the very under par Vocalizer, & substandard MFD that doesn't retain many import and parameters...coupled with a needed improved key-bed.... They have many things that are really super but another rehash will definitly deter me to shop elsewhere.

Maybe ... but I choose to dream.

I wish there was someone in Yamaha I could call about this.

Chony thats another dream ....

You are a very successful musician thus far & you got there using the gear you have now ....may I ask what you expect to achieve with something new & unproven...& will it change your overall sound and success in the future that much to warrant it, or is it more personal satisfaction?

Hi Chony,
how do you then stop the T2 drums playing the same track as the midi module??

Are you doing this with styles ie the the T2 plays all the other instruments bass & 5 accomp tracks & module is the soundsource for the drums??

I tried for days to figure out a way where the psr would play the bass & other 5 instrument style tracks, & my sd2 module would be the soundsource for the drums, but I had no luck.
The sd2 had to either be the soundsource for all the accomp. tracks or none.
I'm hoping I missed a something.

best wishes
Rikki

I just send track 10 with no program changes to the module, and the module plays consistently. It works without a problem except for a small latency.

I am in an extremely competitive market in New York. Thank G-d, I have always been busy, but lately, I am from the top choices when it comes to a wedding band.

I attribute it to a number of things:
- I recently invested over $20G on a killer sound system. My tops alone are $4G a pop (Turbosound NUQ DP15s)
- I've been working on punchier styles
- I've started using the Roland Drum module

- Also, I just bought a Roland TD-12 drum kit and am hiring drummers to make me additional styles.

However I do get comments that my main competition has more punch in his keyboard (Korg Pa1x) - and I agree. I think that many people prefer my style of playing and my choice of songs, but I would like that they prefer my keyboard too. And yes, I do believe that it will bring more business.

Rikki,

With regards to silencing the drums you have two workarounds:
- Revoice the drums to a silent patch from the custom drum section
- Route the drum audio to a sub output. (You will need to put a plug into that output otherwise the routing won't work, but don't plug it into your mixer.

Hi Ian ,

Glad to see your up & about !!

September ? OK

So the 61 key + FSX was correct , as was the no speakers.

This begs to ask , will it be a Hybrid ? a cross between the Motif and the Tyros 2 ???

Can I say a grown up PSR-E403 and be very close ?

NO hard disc , right ? But NO SSD either , right ?

HDIM video out ? Firewire ?

USB Recorder / right ?

My last question ( you don`t really believe that )
Speakers , new style or will IT use the T-2 style speakers ?

Thanks a ton !!
