Hi all, brand new to this forum so i hope you all can help me out. I just picked up an octapad 8 from an estate auction..it does work after sitting in an attice for a few years, however i cant figure out if i can use a kick pedal on this. if so i do i go about it..ive tried the inputs and just about everything else but can seem to get any response from external pads (inputs)..what am i doing wrong..i currently have a spd8. so i now my pedal works and so do my other pads..im using the RM iv drum machine thru mackie tracktion. Thanks any and all help is greatly appreciated

This should be possible.
It does use any fancy 'balanced' connectors, standard 1/4" jacks, tip signal, and ground.

Screened calbes will be required.
