It seems the PSR-S550 still only has 32note polyphony,
like the PSR-S500,
If it had 64note polyphony, and you were able
to tweak the styles, and it still weighed 16.5lbs,
for me it would a winner.

It really should have more than that , any serious sequencing and you would have drop outs all over the place.

I had a Yamaha X4500 with only 8 note polyphony and with a style playing there wasn`t much left for the right hand to do !

I have had no problems with the rubber buttons after all this time on stage.....
you might have had a couple of duds..I've heard that Yamaha is going totally rubber on all keyboards in the future being they have been so well received....we'll see.

Y`a know , maybe you are right , remember all the negative stuff we heard back last Fall with the S900.

So maybe it was just some kinks that needed to be worked out.

I`m glad you`r happy with your S900 , it truly is the "best bang for the buck' !!

I still have it on my "maybe list"

As far as the T-3 having rubber buttons ? , I don`t think I would be to shocked to see that.

We have all Summer to dream unless we can pry some hard info from some where !!

Gary what are you playing with now?
I use the S900 as a tool for now...
I dont love it, but I do enjoy playing it or it would be gone in a minute.
I do have to use many workarounds to enjoy it & have relinquished the fact that I have to use an external Vocal Harmonizer due to the horrible kazoo they have included in the S900, although the Mic processor once set up is usable. What I hate the most is the bad angled hard to view display. We all know its the best bang for the buck but that's where it stops...rubber or plastic buttons who cares...I push, I play, I make music simple as that....but I will tell you this the minute the next wave of arrangers comes to market & something tickles my fancy ....bye bye S900...it will go in the closet for a backup.

I have an old non drawbar Hammond.

Still works `e ok , but it could use an overhaul .

A couple of the drivers ( speakers ) are a little scratchy.

It keeps me in tune !! LOL

I just read the first line.

Yes , the screen is a bit hard to read , I noticed that last fall when I played them.

The Tyros , with it`s adjustable screen is really tops !!

I played the T-2 as well , and I have to say that aside from a real organ , the FSX keybed is perfect in my book.

Light touch , but feels like there is something there , U know , not going to break , solid feel.

And the control surfaces , pitch and mod , are way better too.

To bad the S900 didn`t have the same __ O well.
