Hi all. I have an MKS-50 and I can't find a PG300 for it but I have found a PG10 and a PG1000. Will either of these work? Also, the PG1000 has a LOT of sliders on it. Can it be used as a general MIDI controller with my other sound modules and computer as well?

Thanks.

No you would have to use the PG-300 as the cables used are not standard midi cables like the PG-300 so there is no way you could even plug them in.

Roland programmers use sysex strings to control synth parameters, so even though it is midi data it can't control anything other than the synths it's intended for. For more info take a look at the online PG-300 manual at Vintage Synth Museum.

Thanks Nigel. So would you happen to know where a PG300 can be acquired. PG1000 is all I could spot.

Thanks again.
