Unfortunately, DSL is not available in my area. Verizon said this is because the phone lines are 50 years old and are not scheduled to updated for at least another 10 years.

I checked with Comcast and they have a double play offer i.e. "TV and Internet" combo (with power boost) all for $59.99 a month. You must commit to a 1 year contract when signing up but as far as I can tell the rates stay the same after the first year. Here's the info:

Thanks Mike, I'll check it out. When I contacted Comcast last year their TV alone was $59 a month without Internet connection.
