Thanks for all your help and input.

I decided the Korg Pa2x would be the best choice for my needs. Albeit at $700 more then I could have got then the Tyros 2 for. I do believe its worth that much more in additional features alone and DAW and MIDI implementation. 90% of my recording with be to the PC.

The downside.....I have to wait a few weeks as they are back ordered..

Good choice, Kingfrog. For all your stated needs, it's pretty much your ONLY choice (unless you got a used PA1XPro). Glad you got it. We look forward to hearing about it, and the way you get it to work with the loops and DAW, soon...

Congratulations on your choice. Having the PA800, I might be able to assist you a bit in the learning process.

As a T2 owner I also congratulate you on the Pa2x. If I was starting from scratch it would be a serious consideration for me too.

Thanks Guys. Now the L O N G wait as they are back ordered. I bought from the owner of a small dealership who frequents the Korg PA forum. AudioWorks. A small independent dealer who gave me a small independent price. Since I work for an independent MI store, I understand what a fair price and profit margin is. He shot me a price I accepted.

I am not a fan of big box music stores. I always look for the smaller dealers and realize they have better prices and can operate on lower margins, in many cases due to lower overhead and no expensive corporate staffs to pay. You have to find a dealer that is well diversified though with high margin items and a diversity of products.

IN any case I believe I made the correct choice for my needs and look forward to sharing ideas and tips.
