It's a WS, NOT an arranger. Fills have to be cued up in advance, a completely different (and completely unintuitive) system to the arranger. It incapable of adjusting basslines to account for inversions, and 'slash' chords, and of doing most of the basic arranger tricks.

And, my friend, is JUST as capable of being used for 'cheating' (whatever THAT is!) as an arranger or an SMF...

No system is wrong in and of itself. It's what players DO with it that makes the difference...

My G70 has 4 Intros and Endings. Only ONE of each has any solo on the top. And one of BOTH allows YOU to play the chord progression yourself (as well as play the solo)!

Only 'cheaters' cheat.. "Players' PLAY (with exactly the same equipment). A poor workman blames his tools...

This is a great idea...it would be nice if Yamaha would do something similar.

As it is, I have to make these types of intros for myself.

because you can't press "intro", put your hands in the pockets and have people think that you are playing.

It would be fair if arranger keyboards would come without premade "styles".

Why? Isn't that what defines an arranger keyboard?

Styles have a simple intro(a count in)...you don't have to use the fancy ones.

I never use them unless I'm demoing the instrument...for my stuff, I prefer to do my own.

Having preset styles gives the user some excellent raw material as a starting point for assembling their own accompaniments.

Uh? excuse me but you don't really think anyone believes your really playing "all those parts" on an arranger kb do you inro/ending included? I use everything offered & more ....who cares? does that make you play better? Show off all that a arranger can do that's your job as the controller of the "PRE Arranged" music your playing. Your controlling a computer driven band nothing more nothing less. Making your own styles, intros or whatever doesnt change anything.

Vadim... go buy a piano. Turn off ALL the auto stuff.

ANYTHING other than this, whether you make your 'machine backing' yourself, or use preset styles, use SMF's, MP3's, styles, loops, laptops, you name it...

YOU ARE 'CHEATING'.

To one degree or another. You are fooling yourself if you want to put any arbitrary 'line' between different DEGREES of 'cheating' (your words, not mine).

Get a piano, or shut up about 'cheating', because you are doing it yourself, in one form or another. That high horse you are sitting on is a miniature pony, in truth...

The PA800 2nd intro/ending allows for own chord play - very handy indeed
