Speaking of the Salvation Army, their counterpart, the Salvation Navy, is having trouble with recruiting volunteers.

It seems no one is willing to sit in a rowboat with a bass drum in their lap.

Just now passed the jazz drummer standing by the road with a sign that said "Will not work for anything, but will gig for drinks".
