Hi,
I'd like to buy keyboard for dance music,
but I don't know which one.
Does anybody have ideas about JX-305 and
Yamaha CS2X?
There are different prices!

well.. i'm certainly not a fan of the cs2x, so i'd go with the jx305 over the latter.. however, i would seriously recommend rolands jp8000. It's along the same lines as jx305 and it's pretty powerful as far as i'm concerned and there is so much you can do with it. I love mine to death, and i've seen them used for around $900.. that's comparable to the jx isn't it?? i'm not sure.

WreckStep: no, jp8000 - analogue synthesizer,
but I really need drum track.
jx305 and jp8000 are different things.
yes, jp8000 - good synthesizer,
but they have different purposes.
Maybe, I'm not right. How do you use jp8000
for music making (dance)? May be you
use also drum machine?

bodya,

Yes, you can use some jp8k sounds to make dance music, but you´ll really need other equipment. I´m using it with two drum machines, a sampler and a module, sequenced on computer. The jp8k don´t have built in sequencer (only RPS) and has only two parts.

Yes, you're right.
To buy jp, drum machines and samplers I need a lot of money. But I haven't.
I'm beginner. And at first I want to buy
something one. Maybe I'll buy drum machine (I want DR202, ideas?) to learn to make drum
parts. Then I can buy something else. But of course, I want all-in-one. I think JX305 is
good for this, therefore I asked you any ideas about synthesizers, which have dance sounds, drums, sequencer!, effects and so on...

here are some ideas , you might try a ROLAND MC-303 . It has the drum machine , sequencer, and dance sounds all in one . If you are just recording dance music you can get a REBIRTH 338 which will run on your computer , it simulates 2 ROLAND TB-303s a TR-808 and a TR-909 so you get the sounds , drum machines and sequencing for 139.00 dollars . You then will have money left over to buy another synth to add even more sounds . You could also get the new KORG electribe series which is their compitition for ROLAND's MC-303 and MC-505 .

You need at least a sampler, and what about the cs2x synth? It's a matter of taste, but the sounds in the roland's are too "clean" (no offence!) I'm using a cs1x and I made a lot of remixes with it, some of them are for sale on CD's, and it's a good synth if you want to start, all the sounds can be edited insantly, that's why I bought the yamaha cs1x over the roland synths...

I agree with remixer, your starting out and the CS1x is a great synth to learn, add a sampler and your on your way. Sure the CS1x overall has a thin sound but latter on you can buy another synth that can fill that gap. Imho the CS1x is excellent for pad and those thin sounding arpeggiated leads

Check out the Yamaha RM1X, I haver one and it does all you ask for and more!! I've worked with a Korg X5 for several years now too and it also is a damn fine synth. Newer korgs are even better. (NS5r and stuff like that).
