Hi Guys, we may finally have the opportunity of getting 3rd party proffessional Korg styles created, if there's enough interest shown. Depends whether users are happy to pay for quality styles. http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=35698
Hi Al, The last major upgrade to the PA800 gave us guitar mode ( amongst other stuff).Sure is going to be interesting to see what's in store for us this time. Must have missed the post about the future o.s. upgrade.
best wishes Rikki

Now that I think about it.....another thing I didn't like on the PA800 was that you had to use the multi pedal... & couldn't use just one pedal alone (not sustain) because there is no input for it by itself eg: for Vocal Harmony etc...I dont think they could upgrade that.?

Hi Donny, don't know about that one. If there's no seperate socket for it, a software upgrade wouldn't help. I've never bothered to check, but I would imagine the sustain pedal socket would be for sustain only ??
I luv my multi pedal. I've had it for about 15 years ( bought it for the i2 originally & forgot to sell it with the keyboard). Who would have thought I'd get use out of it 15 years down the track. It's nice & light.
best wishes Rikki

When I had my Pa800 I had to use the 5 pedal unit ONLY for VH......there was no single 1/4" input to activate this.....same problem with Ketron SD1....I hated to carry that Hugh pedal all the time & was forced to do that OR use a panel button manually this IS Possible with YAMAHA using a single pedal.

I have a PA2, not PA800. On page 310 of the manual it has a choice of 97 different option to use for the foot switch (pedal) 'or' EC5 switch unit. Seems like all the VH options ate there to me.
Mic talk, Mic lead on/off, Mic harmony on/off, Mic latch on/off. Are we missing somethng here?
If you want to use ONLY ONE SINGLE SWITCH PEDAL 1/4" input plug just for Vocal harmony or any other SINGLE Function ALONE without the need for the EC5 is not possible with the Pa800 because there is no input for it (excluding the sustain).....you have to always use the EC5 ......unlike Yamaha which allows inputs for this.
There are three pedal inputs on the Pa800 (and on the Pa2X which is identical in regards to pedals AFAIK);
1) "Damper" input: For connecting a foot switch pedal. This pedal will always work as a sustain pedal.
2) "Assignable" input: For connecting an expression pedal OR a foot switch pedal. If you connect a foot switch pedal you can assign the same functions as with the EC5 pedal - including vocal harmony and damper. This is the one to use if you only want to take one single pedal with you.
3) "EC5" input: For connecting the Korg EC5 pedal with 5 assignable switches.
Kind regards, Tommy
