OK,

This is what ya do

1. Can take an smf to SONG PLAY mode
2. Put it in the SEQUENCER mode
3. Edit tracks, tempos, etc
4. Drop down, save to USB
5. Go to SONG PLAY (asks if you want to save because you'll lose - say "yes".
6. The new changes (including tempo) are now in the SONG PLAY area
7. Drop down - send this song to a PERFORMANCE BANK
8. It is there where you can assign UP1,2,3,LOWER and MIC INP
9. So you then call up the song from song mode and select the performance mode to accompany the song, with correct balances
