I bought a Shure PGX HS-06 wireless setup. I love the comfort. However, I can't tame the feedback and still can't use it live with the 800.

Omnidirectional picks up everything in the room, even though I put my speakers way away and turned off the board speakers too. I even stood out front after the performance for a 1/2 hour but to no avail.

Any suggestions from someone using wireless, who is going through their keyboard mixer?

I checked with the store and they said Shure makes a unidirectional mic for $350????? ughhh. I probably can exchange, but really need to advance to wireless now in order to use my AX-1 out front.

Can you cut back on your gain ?

The speakers in the 800 are most likely at fault. They are very sensitive ( that's why they sound so good! ), so if you can stand to listen to just the PA...I bet the feedback lessens.

Yep, tried the gain and turned off the board speakers - still not good.

Like you said, the omnidirectional field of pickup likely is the culprit. Since it is marketed(according to a website)for educators, dance instructors etc, it is best used far from the speakers, like in the middle of the floor. My Sennheiser is a supercartioid and is very resistent to feedback, unless my gain is set to high.

To come to think of it, I used my wireless with your board, no problems.

Sent the PGX back. I would not suggest this for a solo keyboard act. Starting over and still researching what mic will plug into the PA800; powerful, no feedback and comfortable. All this and sound like the 767N/D. Impossible?

Omni is definitely the problem..That is why I stayed away from the omni headsets..
