Nice pic, Fran...let's hope it sounds better than it looks.

Here's my prediction:

Roland G80-X - start with the G70 and:
+ mp3, mwa, wav, playability
+improved OS to accomodate above and possible edit features
- 5 lbs.
- floppy drive AND PCMCIA slot
+ 2 USB slots for memory storage and OS updates
+ color touch screen
+ new Fantom X piano samples
+ 36 MEGA instrument samples for guitar, strings and horns
+ a large bow to V-synth technology (again)
+ 3 LIVE drum sets
+ all new styles; still not enough US rock stuff; more world styles

I'm sure I'm missing something. Anyone care to continue...

+ keep metronome output
+ synced Midi with Audio/MP3 and synced metronome for playing with drummer
+ few buttons for samples (sound effects)
+ analogue synth (something like Vanguard, which does not use much CPU-power) to create lots of sounds and to share with other users

Don't worry. I checked in less than an hour after Fran's post and it had already disappeared

Kind regards,
Tommy

and/or... DUH!

If you look closely, you will see
that Fran's original post
has not been edited.

Does that tell you
something?
