$1600 maybe for a WELL USED ONES...some of these are literally worn out...if you want one of those...OK...But I am selling a Near New one that has never left my house, no more than 12 hours on it and always covered with my soft keyboard cover...for $2100. For someone upgrading from Sxxx or something that wants a near new one I think it's a fair price...and a good way to go.

Condition and how it has been used is very important on a board that has been out for a few years like T2...

Or If $1100 - $1500 more is no big deal then buy a new T3.

Personally..I would be very concerned about a well used T2...especially if it has been gigged out.

I sold my T2 about a year or so ago to Tony Rome down there in Mexico. I think he uses it as a tortilla press. Don't remember the price, but it was so low I swore him to secrecy. Neither of us would remember more than a couple of weeks anyway. We old guys with young wives have to stick together.
By the way, Tony is a new daddy again. He is about 100 years old and plans to live another 63 years so he can see his great, great, great grandkids.
Man I love high-jacking threads late at night.

Diki, I agree with you that the T3 is a really pathetic upgrade compared to what I was expecting. But for those of us who do this for a living and charge well, it is something to heavily consider despite the cost. I for example play a lot of Klezmer music. I'm considering the T3 just because of the clarinet... sounds crazy, but I do 100 Jewish weddings a year...

Wow..., that's a pretty pricey clarinet chony! What board are you using now? Does your board have a sampler? Have you considered searching for a better clarinet sample? I know the T2's sampler isn't the best, but if it's basically just the clarinet sound you're after I'd save a few bucks and find a better sample to download.

I agree with Diki that the upgrade from T2-3 in terms of price is quite steep..., and I too would equate it to the free Korg PA upgrade (to some degree).

Just a thought.

You guys are right. $1650 was a lousy price. That's probably why the buyer was so happy. My decision to take that was strongly influenced by my last keyboard shipping experience. It was a Motif ES7 in great shape. I sold it on ebay for a decent price. I didn't have the box and I ended up paying the local UPS place over $150 for packing, shipping and insurance. They destroyed between Phoenix and Chicago. It took me the better park of a month the get the insurance money. I kept thinking of that from the moment I listed the T2 on ebay. When a local buyer offered me $1650 my first though was "great, I won't have to ship it." It's done now.

What's the best price for a T3 right now? About $3500+?

So even if you get $2000 for your T2, that's still $1500 plus shipping or tax (and shipping!) more...

Just not worth it for T2 owners IMO... Then again, so many of you buy these new instruments for inspiration (mostly the new styles and sounds), if that's what it takes, that's what it takes. Me, I prefer to pull my inspiration from what I play, not what the machine plays

Diki makes sense......& if that aint enough in about 2 years the T3 will take a nose dive when T4 comes out.

Hope to see you at the jam
