I must have been nuts this morning, thinking about a PA800 again!
Fran straightened me right out BIG TIME...& made me realize how really great the Roland E60 really is for the needs of the gigging musician ! After he took me out to a delicious Italian Dinner this evening with the Lovely Kathleen & discussed options I borrowed the E60 & took it home to my studio for another tryout. Let me tell you in the last few hours of testing this unit I'm really enjoying this unit. Lightweight only 28 lbs, a USB connection that really works it recognizes just like another drive on the PC....
super easy to transfer all my G70 files into the E60 and they all work perfectly ...I could gig this baby tomorrow if I wanted to. Makeup & Cover editing tools for Styles & SMF are a pleasure to use & utilize plus SMF markers also.. They all sound great with Lyrics & pre-Chord readouts too, all nice features for sure. It has 76 keys
, real nice key-feel, no need for a Hard Drive(Compact flash card) a quality build & speakers too. No wonder why Don Mason switched to the E50 also
& I can also see why the E60 is so hard to find, No One wants to get rid of them
...
Decisions, decisions,.... I'm gonna dig deep into this baby all week....Who knows I may end up a Roland man again very very soon
Stay tuned!......
