Not sure, but I think someone just won on a $50 wager.

Predictability is a wonderful thing.

Why an S900?

Why not a G70?

Fran drags one around, and he's an old guy ...Donny's younger and stronger, so he shouldn't have any problems.

Then he would have, and I quote from Fran:"total mixing including EQ, of mic/harmony, keyboard/ and audio input too..and all in one."

Fran said he knows where there's a slew of G70s, so getting one shouldn't be hard, and Fran always gets a good price.

Problem solved.

Ian

Donny,

Its a shame the E60 is being a bit tricky.

FWIW, I reckon it would be better to simply add in an active mixer rather than regress to the S900, especially as the E60 is ticking all the right boxes.

Yes I know its a cost but it WILL fix this current issue. The Behringer (for example) entry models still have 2 XLR inputs phantom power AND active 3 band EQ on each channel.

I know its an expense, but if you pay about $45 (on Ebay) for one of the small Behringer mixers (not much bigger than the passive mixer you are using now) you could boost the bass on the vocal, whilst cutting it on everything else, as even these smaller mixers have 3 band EQ's on them.

From the info in the post, and based on what I THINK you are using, an active mixer is a must.

Dennis

PS: Donny hang in there with the E60..This problem IS fixable without having to "throw the baby out with the bathwater".

And as an afterthought... having one of these mixers would also allow you to run the Harmony M in stereo..I don't know if you have, but they sound even better in stereo!!

Send the $50 to my email account...

I could get rich doing this...

You see, when the larger portion of your show is MP3's, it really doesn't matter a whole lot what keyboard is propped up in front of you.

I recommend a Stylophone. No back problems whatsoever

The issue is with those Thumps.
They are designed to be Bass heavy and not as suited to vocals insomuch as DJ work. Not exactly flat speakers. Hence the name Thump, You really notice it when A/B with the Mackie SRMs. But the price is right at $700 a pair is half the cost of the Mackies.

You should be able to use the EQ on the Tapcos to find a happy medium though. Unless you really like the Yamaha soundset.

None of these arrangers have decent mike pre amps, and the Behringer 's Xenex are not much better. Th TC has a decent pre Amp..but if you are running it through a keyboard you erase mike input the advantage, You really need aux inputs for the TC,

Heck jump start the economy....get a Tyros 3 and a pair of Bose LT1s

i am not sure i've understood corectly... donny does not use a mixer on live performance?!

but how's that even possible? hm...

well, i guess nothing it's for sure, at least until every and each one interested in here has the chance to test the E60 for himself.
