Put up a big monitor... we'll do it with telepresence

One of the clubs had a camera trained on the stage... maybe I'll just do a webcast

Back to the original topic - I couldn't find 'Friendly Devil'. I have such a hard time maneuvering thru roland-arranger.com that it keeps me from visiting more often. I don't know what it is, but it's probably more my fault than anything else.

I did listen to 'How Sweet It Is' once again and enjoyed it. Pretty much standard SMF stuff, but the vocals and keyboard work are very good.

EDIT - I found it. I like it. Good job.

Great treatment Diki. I have always enjoyed that song. Jerry made some fantastic music over his lifetime. There are so many that I love. I saw him at Shoreline in San Franciso with the Jerry Garcia Band back in the early 90s. Grateful Dead were going to do the show but their keyboard player had just died ( which seems to happen to all of Grateful Dead keyboard players .... except for Bruce Hornsby ).

If any one has trouble finding Diki's song I have put "Friendly Devil" in a folder here at http://www.synthzone.com/songs/diki/

Nice playing and songs Diki. Nice impressive sound of piano. Please let me know which kbd you used in Zawinul.mp3.

I want to open link to Roland forum but sorry no success. If you can give me some link I would be thankful.

I had in past XP80 and other older models but now I thing Roland is having some different way of keyboard that is mine.

So I want to here your opinion. You are so long with Roland that you can say me more about that brand in this moment.

Best regards.

MAGICA Alfa

Magica, everything at R-A.com is G70, including the Zawinul. It's strictly a live, one-pass recording, played in style mode (whole piano mode) on the G70 (yes, that 'out-of-date keyboard' everyone keeps putting down!).

Anything I can help you with about the Roland's, Magica, feel free to ask...

Most of the live tracks are me and my guitarist, Richard Paris. Oh, and there's an orchestration example that has Kurzweil sampler doing the strings...

The forum link is http://www.roland-arranger.com/smf/index.php?board=9.0 and most of it is on page 2.

Thanks, everyone for your kind comments. It's nice to know that a good tune can diffuse some of the animosity that gets going here. Perhaps a few more of us can take this to heart, and simply post some music. Arguing Korg vs. Yamaha ad nauseam gets boring, IMO.

Just make sure it's YOU playing (OK, Fran? )...

I really do enjoy your music. I am always happy to host great music here at Synthzone.com Anytime you want to post an MP3 online just email it to me and I will be happy to add it to the same folder. And you can be sure the files will stay there forever .... at least while I manage to stay alive lol

Your tribute to Joe Zawinul really moves me. I have never heard anyone else play that piece and I have listened to your MP3 many times. I know Joe would have been very proud of your interpretation.
