Yamaha Defensive early today Ian eh?....btw...are YOU keeping the T3 or reverting back to the S900? Hmmmmmm? Ian what do you have against people that partly use SMF in their acts like Peter Barrtman ...? I rather see that then a "non singing" so called background instrumentalist playing sleepy elevator music any day...although I can trade 4's with the best of them or play live all night if deemed necessary wouldnt want to bore the audience with repetitive arranger songs all night .....my tool box is full and I will use it all to make a show successful...no need to prove it to you or anyone else. BTW post a few of your live songs I want to learn some tips & tricks if I can stay awake.

have a nice Yamaha day I need a shower now after reading this..

Tear stains, Donny?

Don't worry, they'll wash off.

Ian

BTW...I heard you use SMF for MOST of your act...not that there's anything wrong with that...I just assumed that you actually played more...I guess even I can be wrong.

It's a good thing you can sing well.

Well, that goes for the customers too, different buyers, different leagues, and that's why
I think both types of demo should be respected equally.
Also I think Voncken and Baartman is brilliant players, and both have a nice humoristic sense
who make the demoes even more interesting.
Anyway, still they have'nt convinsed me that I should run and buy a T3, but that's not any of
the two demoes or players to blame .....

Cheers and Happy Playing

Wait, I must have missed something. You can't criticize Yamaha T3 because you are only going by what you have heard on line and heard others say, yet you CAN criticize DNJ because someone told you he uses midi files, even though you haven't heard or seen him?
You can't have it both ways.

Yep, I sure can...since when do you make the rules?

I assumed Donny "played" more during his gigs...I was told by several people who saw him perform that he didn't...he himself admits he uses SMF for most of his show...not that it matters, but it does seem to dictate what the arranger will be primarily used for...a SMF playback device.

That's cool...lots of people use them that way.

Ian

I'm sorry to see also this thread transforms into an 'Me The Pro being better than you' ..... as usual.
Because of this never-ending-loops (kept alive by the same member(s) all the time) I start disliking this forum and plan to NOT visit for a while.

Goodbye.
