We are finding it harder and harder to track dealers down locally that carry much in the way of arrangers in many parts of the world... So how can we try out an arranger we are interested in?

How about members willing to show each other their own arrangers? Quite a few have talked about this, but the logistics seem daunting.

But there is an interesting possibility. We have a Frapper map for Synthzone members, where you can post your location, a photo (if you want!) and also enter some 'shoutout' or general comments...

How about ALL members entering their location on the map, but ALSO entering their arranger model (and keep it up to date, Donny ) in the comments section?

Then, it would be easy to click on all the members within a reasonable driving distance from your location, and find out if any of them have the arranger model you want to see....

I have already entered mine, and encourage each and every one of you to do the same... If you have an entry already, please add your arranger model (and anything else of interest equipment-wise), and help us compensate for the dwindling number of dealers willing to stock them...

An opportunity for us all to cooperate and help each other, rather than argue stats all day long...

What do you think?

Good idea but it wont work IMO....people wont even post songs now you want them to travel far and wide to try arrangers?......maybe a few will that a re very close.....but your better off COMING TO THE LOUISIANA JAM in January 18,19,20,21, so you could try and actually play with us !

common down

Give it a chance, Donny. I am not talking about driving to see someone ELSE play an arranger (you can do that on YouTube!), but to try it yourself, at the invitation of the other member... (or if he wants to show it off too, so much the better!)

This isn't the same thing as posting music publicly for all to hear by ANY means, IMO.

Give Peace a Chance...

I hope it works Diki.....I have always took it upon myself to find people and try to get together to see and play other KB's .......via email.......in today's climate people are reluctant to share anything private on a public forum.

hope your successful....

Anyone who wants to see and try a G70 in my area is welcome to contact me, and time permitting, I will be honored to let them try it...

How's that for bitter and frustrated?

I'd love to come to the panhandle to see your show - certainly not to see the G70

Actually, they are one and the same thing...

Could I sound good with anything else? Probably... Possibly... what does it matter?

Hopefully, anyone comes see me perform, they are not coming to see a G70!

But if anyone that can't find a G70 to even try out...

You are welcome to try.

It;s not about how I make it sound. It's about how YOU do... but the opportunity to even try is getting smaller all the time. Whatever we can do as members, for each other is what counts...

I think the G70 is fine. For some reason, I couldn't find suitable styles for my gigs. That was the main reason. The other breaker was just that - back breaker

Someday, I'd really like to explore an E80.

Try out a Midjay, SD-5, SH-201 and GW-7 in my crusty old warehouse in Lexington, Kentucky anytime you want.

I'd look forward to a visit.

If you visit Athens, Greece, you get to see the Parthenon and the similarly aged Casio CTK-750 of mine, along with some soft synths.
Drinks on me.

Panhandle of Florida

But something's up... there was another entry near me and now it's gone!

Has this thread had the wrong effect and people are actually REMOVING themselves from it?

Or is the thing just a beta, and it's not working right..?

I just received an email from Larry Hawk today about Frapper being bought up by Platia and how members may have to re-enter their info into the new map. Diki I'm sure that because of the changeover you are seeing some weirdness with info disappearing.
