You choose a favorite song and this website will play that song and then go on to play all the songs of the same era one after another until you change it to something else. I have spent 23 years on this computer and never seen anything like this in my computer life.
this was sent to me this morning by Dick up in Oregon, a fine arranger player that I have visited.
check it out, you will be glad you did http://www.theradio.com/

Great Find.

Since it plays songs in the chosen style, it makes it easy to get ideas for creating medleys.

Regards,

Jerry

Bill very cool!! You may also like pandora.com. Pandora let's you create radio stations based on your choice of artist. Once it starts playing songs it asks whether it's thumbs or down. If you choose down it will not play that particular song again, if you give it a thumbs up it will play that tune in the future.

It seems it doesn't play the full song, only a part of it.

Kingfrog,

Did you know you can listen to your XMRADIO account online through the internet; for free?

I have it on all day at work.

I had it playing background Jazz on my computer all day and I didn't discern that it wasn't playing full songs. I also played some pop tunes and even a couple of trad. country.
I think this is the greatest.

Maybe they will add the songs you requested and they will be there next time. This website may be under continuous construction. I do not know anything about it except I really enjoy it playing background jazz all day on the Studio sound system.
Thanks for your response,
Bebop

Works great for me.

Better than standard Windows Internet radio too, because you can request specific songs.

All the tunes I've heard (at least a dozen so far) have been played in full....maybe I've just been lucky??

All those other sites mentioned need registration/money - I'm too tight for that.... !
