Hey,
Are you using headphones by choice, or unable to find good affordable speakers? Here's my suggestion.. There is one set of Roland monitors that sound awsome. They are the Roland MA-8BK micro monitors. They already have an amp built in them, and MAN DO THEY PUSH A LOT OF AIR TOO!!!! That's not joke.. You have to hear these things!!! They are also priced under $100.00 too, and they're very easy to move around. I'm a former owner of the XP-60 and I originally bought these monitors for that board, and man did the XP sound great through them. They have separate bass, treble, and main volume controls. Head phone jack.. RCA(stereo conectors) and a 1/8" input jack.. There is also a 1/4" mic input on the front with a seperate volume control. If you have a vocalizer you could run it through the mic input on the front. These would be the most affordable good sounding monitors I can think of.. Good luck.. Have fun with the Roland, it's a great synth...
