Just out of curiosity, how long was it after the release of the T2 did we see the S900? Two years or so?

That's probably how long it will take for T3 tech to migrate to the PSR series, wouldn't you think?

My Relaunch of the S900 during this intense Xmas gig session is really working out nicely...it's like coming home week for me.

I seem to be a Roland man, myself, but somehow I don't feel the need to buy every other arranger out there to prove it to myself...

I wonder why that is? Am I luckier or worse off for this?

Hi Diki and all

The idea of any arranger is to satisfy the player, if it does this, then it has performed it task.

Everyone has different tastes, and fortunately there are enough different models out there to suit pretty much everybody.

Age has no relevance, whether it is the very latest or has been on the market for ages, so long as it suits the player that is all that is required.

Diki like many others have found theirs, others are still searching.

Regards

Bill

Bill, I guess my only take on that would be that, if you tried and rejected EVERY arranger out there (but returned reluctantly to where you started in the first place), then perhaps an arranger keyboard isn't what you are looking for...

Maybe it's a REAL backup band, that plays everything EXACTLY the way you want it (because you arranged and rehearsed it that way!). Or is that too old school?

Sometimes I feel we all expect just a BIT too much from these keyboards. They are, after all, mere machines, trying to accomplish something that in the past took talented players and talented arrangers (the human kind!). They can get you close-ish, but they'll NEVER get you all the way there. If that's what you are searching for, I think you may be doomed to perpetual frustration.
