I want to purchase S4M-5 to my XP30. Does it mean it can be any, produced by any firm? I've heard there could be some proplems with some cards of Toshiba. Is that so?
Need a help/urgently as I need to store my data on the card/

Check out the voltage when you buy a smartmedia for your roland xp30.
As far as you stick to 5V smartmedia (4M or 8M), it's ok. 5V smartmedia is an old technology. Currently, most smartmedia is for 3.5 volt..
