A good mate of mine started a forum late last month and the one and only Scott Yee is a moderator on there.
If anyone wishes to join, take a look.

Personally I think it is a poor marketing decision to not let lurkers even LOOK (but not post), and goes against the established practice on most forums.

What are they hiding?

Generally, you only know if a person is a jerk by what they say, not if they are just 'lurking' ... JMHO ...

Hi

It´s Craig that has started the forum (the guy who tried to cheat us all with his Saltwater demo 2 years ago)

This is not a forum I want to join. There's alot better forums around started by real pro musicans.

I've just been told that Nielshs was one of the first people to try and join this forum and was instantly blocked. These are the type of lurkers not wanted on there.
Craig also tells me to let Nielshs know that he and Snazzy on the YPKO forum are not the same person even if he thinks they are. Craig is UK, Snazzy is either in USA or Canada.
He says hello Nielshs, nice to see you never change lmao

Great forum...I joined about a month ago...Craig and Scott are good people.

Regarding "Snazzy"...I met him quite some time ago whilst on a Yamaha seminar in Toronto...he is from the USA...Nashville, if I remember correctly...very good player.

Well, this forum should be fun... any dissenting opinion from the forum moderators gets banned

Just to remind you... CraigUK a while ago tried to post a recording of Chet Atkins (I think it was him playing) and tried to claim it as his own work in an attempt to win some stupid arguing point. Desperate tactics, despicable ethics, and ultimately, discovered and disgraced.

Yep, THAT'S a forum I want to be involved in Now, of course, should he want to win an argument, he won't have to lie. He can just ban the poster.

Don't you jusr HATE it when people remember stuff...?

I vaguely remember that issue...I believe I was away doing clinics at the time when it went on...was Craig banned from SZ because of it?

A legendary thread it was...

Rory, (FAEbGBD), was the first and only one to point out the scam, while some members were busy praising Craig and some others blasting FAEbGBD, or both.

I commented it sounded like a record...

And then someone found the original recording by Chet Atkins and the ceiling fell over on our heads.

I like history...

I believe I praised CraigUK initially, being unwilling to believe anyone here would even attempt a despicable deception like that. Boy! Was I wrong!

After that, I am unwilling to take his word that the sun comes up in the East...

No posters have been banned on PAP and will never be, unless there is a good reason to do so.
Nielshs was simply not allowed to join and it has nothing to do with past events. I'm surprised he wanted to join anyway, since his opinions of who runs the forum are very low.
Anyway I've asked about the Saltwater situation and although it was a long time ago, it was a stupid thing to do.
The reason it was done did come out and everyone who knows Craig very well, also knows the background behind it and the full story.
At the end of the day, if you want to join do so, if not fair enough.
Craig was not banned from SZ and neither have others been on here who have done similar. It is NOT the first time something like this has happened on here or other forums, so people should think on before digging up the past

Thank you very kindly for answering my question, Keyman.

I have found Craig to be a very knowledgeable guy and a great person...I have spoken to him several times by phone.

The new forum is very well presented, and well worth joining, in my opinion...there is even a whole section on the new Ketron Audya for those who are interested.

Craig has asked me to post this for him. Many of you will probably laugh, but those who have any sense on here (and there are some) just may understand:

At the time in question I had just been made redundant. I was suffering from severe depression and was on very strong medication. I came on SZ in order to relax and chat with like minded musicians, but because of a certain few on here, who were simply out to gun anything down I posted at the time, I basically did something totally stupid that I regret and I apologised to everyone that I knew soon after and do so again.
Whether it was down to the tablets turning me into a complete pillock to put it blunt is anyones guess, but what's done is done. If anyone wants to dig it up and get some sort of kick out of it again then do so.
I've moved on, posted many of my OWN songs on the YPKO forum that people have heard and I now have the sense not to let work or people drag me down.
I hope that shines some light on this matter.

Regards,
Craig

Hi

Craig (Keyman_UK) is and will always be a liar. His knowledge about keyboards is not from his own experiences but from serveral online manuals (except from a couple of models). He also have a bad habit to make serveral usernamens on forums. He is a big manipulator.

Hello Nielshs.
I think you've just summed up why you were not allowed on the forum. By the way I am not Craig and neither is Snazzy, so I've no idea what your problem is? Neither do I want to know or care.

Mmmmm...the thick plottens.

Why would you want/try to join his keyboard group if you have these opinions?

You can relate this to CraigUK if you like. I will not join just to post this.

I am sorry about your problems at the time, but you did NOT post this apologia at SZ, did NOT explain your actions, did NOT rejoin the community for a LONG time (admittedly, understandable) and have NEVER made this explanation for your actions (at least here, and at least this in depth)..

And I'm sorry, but 'the drugs made me do it' just doesn't cut it. If you are lucid enough to post, you are lucid enough to realize what you were doing was wrong, wrong, wrong... And you should have as much respect for the people you are posting to as you expect from them in return. You showed NONE.

And, just like a departing President Bush, you are now trying to re-write history. That only works where people are dumb enough to forget what was done in the first place.

That ain't here, 'mate'...

I never even knew anything about the little scam even happened,BUT just have to speculate..for a overcome by drug 'pillock',i have not seen ONE typo error out of him..even a drunk driver weaves all over giving his 'pillocks' away.Just admit it was a very conscience decisive sober decision and stop trying to sell that there still are WMD's.

Message relayed Diki and reply is:

Apology was sent to Nigel via e-mail at the time. That probably explains why Craig was not banned, so your "DID NOTS" should actually read "HE DID" other than the rejoining of SZ, which is still a DID NOT

Yep.... a private email is NOT a public apology. He insulted the entire membership and several specific members VERY publicly.

Only a TIMELY public apology would have sufficed. We got neither.

Not to even mention the use of multiple personalities on the same forum is yet another egregious breach of forum etiquette. Drugs made you do that as well?

Oh, and one more thing...

CraigUK committed this outrageous breach of forum etiquette, apologized privately, and wasn't banned.

Neilsh got banned from HIS forum just for trying to join, without so much as a single post.

IF you want to join Craig's forum, obviously, DO NOT expect the same quality of forum moderation as you get here. DO NOT expect your peccadilloes or even outrageously bad behavior to get a second chance (unlike here). DO NOT disagree with the moderator (unlike here). In fact I would suggest joining under multiple names, and posting anything you feel like as your own work (unlike here)...

Just so long as ALL your multiple identities agree with Craig, you should be safe. If not, just claim drug problems. And see if it doesn't work (unlike here)

It's always best to make amends immediately.

It's like a feeding frenzy. The vultures just can't resist ripping open the carcass and pulling out the entrails. It doesn't even seem to matter if it's still warm, or months cold. Pure dysfunction!! I love it.................. -charley

I was not one of them, but maybe you should ask the "dysfunctional" lot who were publicly duped, humiliated, laughed at, etc etc, what they feel about it.

I believe you can post something, wait a little for the fish to catch the bait and then say "Gotcha, it was a joke". You may get away with no harm other than some mild comments and irritate some people who will forget about it...but,

It is another thing to post something as your own creation, watch the astonishment on peoples' comments, receive kudos, explain how you "did" it, mock the few disbelievers, and expect to get away without a single apology and returning some years leater with a "I was depressed" line.

And since people moved on and the carcass returned, it seems that it is not a carcass.
Go vultures, go!
