How do I make my 1080 go to Perform / Patch / Rhythm mode using my master Keyboard (Korg SG-proX) And is it possible to play both a patch and a performance simutaneously?

Check your manual under "program changes". There is a bank change message which needs to be sent along with the program change and is usually reflected by a two digit number which precedes the actual program number.

You have to use a sysex command to change between Performance, Rhytm and Patch mode.
A performance consists of patches, so as long as you dont use all parts in a performance you can always add the patch that you want to the performance.
I cannot give you the precise sysex commands because I use JV80 but in these matters the two synths are behave in the same way
