Which keyboard would members recommend for great electric guitar sounds?

Got to give the nod to Yamaha on this one.. T3 if you can afford it, S900 if not.

Mind you, I don't know if pitch can be assigned to a pedal on an S900... anyone?

Yamaha's Mega Voice technology, in the style parts themselves, makes the rhythm electric guitars sound SO good. It's the #1 thing from Yamaha's (even more than the SA voices) that I most envy...

Roland & Yamaha, Ketron units do a fantastic job just listen to Don Mason play that Guitar!!

Yep it sure can...assignable for up or down and range is assignable as well.

I use a Yamaha FC7 Volume pedal as it has an adjustable pedal angle.

Is there a particular reason you left out the Tyros 2, please?

I think Diki was recommending the most recent Yamaha arrangers.

I actually like the T2 more than the T3...the latter has better organ sounds and a few SA extra guitars, but otherwise the former is another excellent choice...and you can use a pedal for pitch bending.

2k,21k,3k,s900,T1,2,3 will all do a excellent guitar job depending on how YOU play..

Gotta' agree with DNJ and others above--if you've got the chops, Yamaha's guitars cannot be beat.

I have to give the nod to the Yammie guitars, as well. I'll usually go to the (T2's) 'Jazz Guitar' for both comping and soloing, and it's not even a SA voice. The 'acoustic' (which IS SA) is also pretty nice. Very authentic if you can master the technique and guitar voicing. Like Ian, I also like a couple of the organ voices (for soft B3/leslie pads for background tracks ie. 'soul' ballads). I don't use them anymore since I got the C1, but they could actually fool a lot of people if not too far forward in the mix. JMO.

I would also agree with the others in that Yamaha has some really good guitar patches. The only negative thing I'll say is the pitch/mod wheels on the PSR's have never really been too great in "quality". If you can use a pedal I'd strongly suggest it.

Personally I've thought Yamaha has done a great job on their guitars over the years and with mega and SA guitars it takes them to another level... However, I've always felt the cheaper construction of the wheels got in the way.
