I glad everyone had a good time and thay now have better idea of what the Audya can do. I wish I could have gone but I ended up having a gig.

So the people that went to the Mr. Sound showing, is the Audya worth the money? what ever that maybe? What are peoples thoughts?

Who got the case of beer...?

You DID say to us, didn't you, Nedim, that the Audya would play diminished and augmented chords from audio?

How well did that prediction turn out?

i will post later a more detailed report,
but as far as complex chords, aug, dim, sus, there is a dropout of audio, with midi filling in,

as far as 6, 7, 9, chords, audio keeps playing with the midi filling in

every style is different, some are more noticeable when that track is soloed, BUT as a whole (with other instruments on) it's a bit harder to hear.

post more later

I was at the demonstration, and it was great to meet some of the SZ guys there like Nedim, Lee and Frank.

The Audya is everything that I was expecting and more. The audio instruments sound great, and the overall keyboard has an impressive punch and realism.

My only gripes are that I think the brass section sounds are lacking compared to Yamahas, and that they don't have a more developed style creation software system (which Yamaha doesn't have either except for Jorgen Sorensen's amazing software.)

Appart from earlier arrangers AUDYA will be able to record Style in LOOP MODE and also will
have EVENT EDITOR in Pattern Record mode.
AJ will write a soft for Style creation but we
still have to wait for it, not tomorow.
