Wow! Now I remember why I play in a trio. It's every man for himself. I plug the C1 into the K4; setup time - 1 minute. At my age, that's as complex as I can manage. More power to Gary, though. Should keep you mentally sharp.
BTW, these are the kinds of posts and demonstrations that are both interesting and educational. All of us go through some form of this, so it's interesting to see how each of us approaches this most unpleasant part of 'gigging'. Personally, I like Capt. Russ's method.......he gets his son to do it .

Gary, ... great job ... you are so organized, it's SICKENING !!!
I notice that not only do people want to talk to you while you are playing, but also when it is so evident that you are video taping something ... walking in front of the camera and all ...
I really like the RnR cart set up, but what do you do when there are stairs - even just a couple - involved? Do you take the cart in to a level spot, bring in the gear and load it onto the cart?
I'll see if I can locate one on this side of the pond. If not, I can copy the design and build my own. I'm a Sheet Metal Worker by trade believe it or not. My life before music :-)

Nice job Gary. I do something similar but I don't have as much gear as you. It's really the best way to go. Thanks for sharing with the video. It was great.

Gary, do you have a ramp for your van, and just wheel the loaded cart on and off? If not, you should design one! Or you could get one of those vans with a lift. Then you could get a handicap tag and park closer too. Hammer had his rig at the jam. He has everything set up on the Rock n Roller and just wheels it in. DonM

Thanks Donny for sharing the video. This issue was one of the first discussions I participated in when I joined this forum. Gary took the time to share his step by step method with us but seeing it is more enlightening. Who new that Gary is so smooth with movements like a well choreographed dancer. I think my problem is that my equipment is right-handed and I’m left-handed. Ciao, Jerry
I know Gary many many years ..... and his title of "Mr Wizard" is undoubtedly well bestowed .... When he says a 10 Minute setup he means just that I'm glad every one enjoyed the instructional video Gary asked me to post. Seeing, absorbing is learning

Gary would just put a winch in the van and it's done ... ... t.

Donny ... I believe that one of Gary's new criteria for accepting gigs is that there be no stairs to negotiate ... I believe he asks beforehand ... Now THAT'S SELECTIVITY ...
Look the comments below Gary's video, from "Panda" of the "Killergirls" and click on their name, or here: http://www.youtube.com/user/killergirls and play the big video. Well, killer asian girls!
