I have heard that Roland has released a new OS for the XP-60 (and XP-80), version 1.11. Does anyone know anything about this, what it does, and where it can be downloaded.
I heard that it was available at the Scandinavian Roland-site, but I could not find it...

I've never heard of a new XP60 OS, but I still believe that the internal chip is a flash memory, and that you can upgrade the software contained there. A lot of new Roland synths have upgradable OS: Groove Machines (MC505 & JX305), JP8000, JV1010... There is a new JV1010 OS on Roland site; anyone knows what it fix?
Yes, I too would like to know what this OS does. I downloaded it and don't know how to install it because Roland left no installation directions.
On my old XP50, all you had to do was insert the upgrade disk and the Roland would automatically recognize it and start upgrading right away. Not the XP60 though. HELP!
While you guys figure that one out, also figure out how to upgrade the SC880's OS. I have both an XP60 Upgrade Disk(s) and an SC880 Upgrade Disk(s) and don't know how to install either of them. Double Arrgh!
