i was playng with my Nokia N95 mobile phone and did this quick recording of something i put together on my PA1X . Its just a little smooth Jazz motif . Really just messing with some sounds and a groove. Its not complete yet but i have the basics of an idea . All programmed on the PA1X. Let me know what you think

Perfect example of why no one posts their music here .......Spalding was nice enough to share his work.......and hardly anyone expresses an opinion pro/con.....sad.

I enjoyed it...Nice groove.

Donny...let's not forget, Jazz like this is not everyone's cup of tea. It is rare to find it on a radio dial...and you and I certainly aren't gonna play it at our venues.

Some say its an acquired taste. I acquired it in college and still like to listen to it. However I don't hold anything against the folks that don't care for it.

Nice job Spalding.

Eddie

Nice stuff! You sequenced that rather than used a style is what I'm understanding here. Is that correct?

Jazz is #1 in my book , now on to the Senior Center tomorrow for country night, haha, ya just never know what you might end up playing one day

Thanks for listening and giving some feedback everyone. It was just a groove and i had some time on my hands so thought i would post it up. Yes scott it was a sequence . I could have programmed it as a style but it would have taken more than the 10 minutes i had to spare ! I would love to hear more people post up music that they play rather than all the endless request for more and more features on what are already phenominal instruments . I mean whats the point in more and more technical explanations and queries if no one actually hears the benefit of it ? Anyway. Thanks for listening ! I just fell off my soap box !

Yeahhhh baby, that's my kind of music.
I could sit, dance, work, play, and have that going through my head all day.
I cannot play that way without a lot of time to work on it, but I think I could even play golf with that going on. Nice feel in what you played.

Now thats the spirit everyone! ....and we ALL learn from it... you don't have to like Jazz or whatever style you enjoy but you learn and absorb from listening & discussing between the lines.
It's all good....it's All music.

Great job Spalding! I like the style - very laid back. Keep 'em coming! ENCORE!

When i get a chance i may post up some more stuff of this keyboard with me using it in a live setting at rehearsals with one of the choirs i work with in piano arranger style (perhaps with one or two of the styles i made) either with me singing or some people that can really sing ( you might want to pray for the latter) :-)

Thanks for the encourageing comments. I am making up for the years that i meant to post music on this forum and just didnt. Careful now....the cat is out the bag... it could be really hard to put him back in !!!

Great stuff, spalding...

I've always felt the Korg's have this style and sound nailed...

Nice little groove...what fun! That's how great tunes start and become classics.

Keep it up!

I posted some more original music that i sequenced on the PAX

They are all just creative ideas based upon a groove. I am Just experimenting with sounds and effects to make more contemporary music. This might not be to everybodies taste and i am really exploring the workstation side of the keyboard now. Some of these Grooves are worth developeing so watch this space. But i promise to record some pure arranger music too live so you can see what i am doing. Thanks for listening
