Old habits are hard to turn they say, and even if my house is well protected I most
often forget that I got the electrical and wiring installation rebuilt some years
ago. I'm turning off and unplug the same way as before .....
Regarding the telephone line, YES!!
T-storms very often send overvoltage through the copperlines, and too many people
get the DSL modems, routers and LAN cards damaged because it's only the mainpower
kable who is disconnected.
