You and I are in the same boat my friend. My local music dealer and I have been searching for a soft case for my tyros2 as well and we have been running out of options. He did order me the one that was suppose to be for the tyros2 and it turn out to be way to big. There was other company that no longer makes one for the tyros. I don't want to spend 400.00 on a hard case one and don't want the weight either. If anyone has any suggestions it would be very helpful. My PSR2000 case just miss in the lenght by about 4 inches.
Thanks

A $3k+ keyboard in a soft case?

On your head be it, my friend...

I know, I know... everyone is going to say they've never had any damage to their keyboard lugging it around. Until that one day... Like the one last year or so when I got rear ended at 90mph by a drunk in a minivan. Sliced the rear of the car off, but the keyboard in its' hard case survived.

Life is short... Play hard

Which is why Diki, being a bit of a hard case himself, also survived. We softer mortals probably would not have!!

If somthing ever happened it gets chucked and replaced no big deal you already made many many times over what your initial investment was with that KB so you never lose anything.....& believe me your back will thank you.

Ricki,
I had the same problem with my Tyros 3 - no cases that really fit it properly. This will really get to Diki -- I was carrying it around to gigs with no case at all for about 3 months. I am having one made for it - a very well padded soft case. I can't handle the weight of a hard case.

What really gripes me is that Yamaha has not produced a case for their "flagship" arranger keyboard. Go figure.

Hi Mike

A lot of us have used the case on this link for the T1 and T2.

I wish it was not quite as deep, you'll need to use some foam rubber, but I have not found any others that are this small on the outside. The Yamaha cases have always been way bigger than needed/wanted.

Frank, you hit it right on the nose. My s900 fits perfect in the smaller one and my dad has one for his tyros 2. One of the best bags I've owned.

I am with Diki....I rather protect my investment with heavy duty cases...and yes..they all have wheels...

Been using the hard case ever since I had to buy one to transport the kb to North Carolina for a gig last year ... Are there times I wish I had a good enough soft case? ... SURE ... but in the meantime ...

I am never sure it will be me or someone else moves my gear. I sure as hell don't want TWO cases to cover either scenario. I also don't like the idea of carting something around in a manner that MIGHT, under the wrong circumstances, get damaged, if there is nowhere I could pick up the phone to and have a backup G70 that night.

Little chance of that (or PA2Xpro, or T3, or E80, or Audya, or any TOTL arranger) so I have to case it as if it was irreplaceable. Which, apparently, it is

My case doesn't have wheels, but I have one of those lightweight folding dollies http://www.globalindustrial.com/gcs/group/3492/productsPerPicGroupsGrid.web#gridAnchor and with good technique find that it is very rare that I have to pick up the entire case, just lever it around, in and out of the car, house, gigs, whatever. Those new handicapped access laws have made stairs nearly a thing of the past!
