Thanks Vagro,
I downloaded the Korg Editor and it seems that you can assign anything to anything.

What I imagine, is that that the NanoKontrol may make an excellent control for my Hypersonic 2 softsynth. And the price is ridiculusly low.

What are you using it for?

Rebirth was discontinued ages ago and no, you can control Rebirth as the other synths.
You can only start, stop, forward and thing like that but not as the conventional soft synths
where you can actually play notes, adjust controlls and stuff.

I am a home player and I made an organ-like set up. I don't use any software in the Pc other than a very simple one to connect the usb's in and out ports of my instruments. At present I use the NanoKontrol to control my Psr which is standing vertically. With the sliders I control the volume of the 3 voices and 6 parts of the style, with the knobs I control brillance or reverb and with some buttons I mute or unmute the sounds (setting volume to 0). You can use 4 different "Scenes" so by just pressing a button you change all the NanoK controlling parameters. At this price range I am thinking of buying another one to place it on the other side of my Pa500, I like symmetry!! . Check the picture of how I use it: http://www.frappr.com/?a=viewphoto&id=5492656&pid=10942256&myphotos=1

Nedim I know it was discontinued...but hat's what he uses.

Are you sure that you CANNOT control parameters like resonance, filter cut-off and so on from nanoKontrol or any other midi controller? Please elaborate, this is a deal breaker if yes. I have seen that Roland PCR line (lots of sliders nd knobs along with a keyboard) do have a downloadable template for Rebirth.

At the time when i was using it nothing was able to do it, i was one of the first Beta
Testers for Prop.Heads too, i've been using Rebirth for at least 10 years till i switched
to OS X from Classic OS. I stoped using it around 2-3 years ago, i was controlling it with
few boards like MS2000, SUPERNOVA and some other things but nothing would controll
knobs and keys. Now make sure to call Tech Support of the company you buying the
controller and maybe they can help you better if they came up with something but as
i know off nothing worked that way on Rebirth before.

Nedim,
on the downloads section for the Roland PCR line controllers http://www.roland.com/products/en/_suppo...000003855&dsp=1 I found that they provide a set of 10 midi bulk files that you can load to your (Roland) controller and use it to control Rebirth...

See below, they seem to allow manipulation of Cutoff and Reso, as well as Tones for the TR 808

what do you make of these?

I suppose that it shows that Rebirth can accept external controlling, so the Korg may play, as far as it is set to transmit the same controllers, I have to study the Rebirth manual for sure. It is not a matter of who is wrong or right, It matters if you think the following show that it can do what I want/.
