Hi! I recently bought an XP-30, and selled my JV-35. In the GS sounds in the JV-35, I had some sounds that I miss in my XP-30. Currently, I need the "laughs" and the "scream" sounds!!
Does anybody knows where can I find those sounds for my XP-30, or has somebody made those patches?
No, I'm not a clown, I'm a keyboard player, I play Progressive Rock in a band named Kromlech (http://www.sistec.com.mx/kromlech) and I use the laughs and shouts in a part called "Desterrado en el desquicio" ("Exiled within insanity" in English)on our first CD, where I use those sounds to depict the feelings of a madman.
Well, you may want to invest in a Hip-Hop expansion board. This board has all of the possible noises, shouts, screams and countoffs you could possibly want and more.
I also got a SC880 Modules for $350 a couple of months ago. Best investment in my studio yet. It has a huge GS extension. Some of the sounds in the Roland SC880 outclass a stock XP or JV. Really check it out. It's only about $50 more than an expansion board.

The scream etc. are original GS patches and will not be found on the JV or XP engines, Not even in the drum patches. I do have a SC7 GS module available for$70...Fran
hi, I heard some laughter and scream sounds when I checked FX expansion board at a local store. I'm not 100% sure, though. As others already mentioned, SC family might be a good option. One more thing.. Ignore any post from Arvon45. I think he(or she?) is mentally retarded.
Ferny....why don't you just record the screams and laughs yourself with friends into a tape recorder or digital recording device. Then just patch it through from that audio source to your live performance?
Well, Arvon, that's almost what we're doing! Since we don't have a digital recorder, we are making the laughs and shouts live... We look SO cute laughing and shouting onstage :-)
