Well, today I had surgery on my left eye. Will have my followup visit in the morning. All seems to be ok but the experience was totally different from my right eye. I was totally aware of everything going on this time - really wierd. Once again, I was in and out of the place in less than an hour including check in time and a quick check of the eye before the surgery.

I'll keep everyone updated about my vision progress for those thinking about such having cataract surgery.

HankB's wife, Linda, had eye surgery yesterday also. Hope you both do great. It's amazing what modern medicine can do.

Cataracts procedures have really come a long way since 25-30 years ago. Lasers make a big difference...

Good luck to both of our eye patients...

As an optometrist I can vouch for that. Anyone with a cataract which decreases vision to less than 20/50 should have it done.

Went to my followup Dr. Visit today and things look good. Can't wait for both eyes to clear up and see what the true end result will be.

Today is Sunday - on Thursday I had my second cataract surgery done. I played a gig today without glasses!! First time I could go without them in 62 years. My wife went along and laughed everytime I reached up to adjust my "missing" glasses. Some habits are hard to break I guess. So far so good. I have a followup visit with the doc on Monday but I don't expect any bad news.

Later,

Wonderful! Less gear to take to the gig!
