. . . because I don't need one of them. So I have decided to share my good fortune by offering one for sale. See Buy and Sell section. Or will trade for Ketron Audya. DonM
I have the Classic L1 and like it a lot. The Classic puts out 750 watts of power using 3 individual amps - one for each tower piece and one for the base unit.
The later L1 units put out 500 watts of power using two amps - one for the tower and one for the base unit.
I have heard both and can't tell a bit of difference and that is what Bose will tell you too.
I downloaded the latest preset stuff from Bose which provides several more options than standard. Downloads were free.
Mikey - I have yet to find a situation where my Bose does not fill all my needs. I play only senior gigs and seldom play for more than 125 people and mostly in medium size rooms and it is really great. I don't have to "crank up" the sound for everyone in the back to hear while killing the folks up front I run the Bose at about 25 percent.
I thought about buying the new L1 Mod II but learned you have to include the tonematch system for it to work - $3k seemed a little much for me so I got the basic L1 single base system used - from one of the members here. A very good decision as it turned out.
