Cass
Prior to the eJam I did not do either of the two songs I have submitted...but I now have set up several registrations in my keyboard in order to play either in different styles. Sometimes I sings 'em...sometimes I just go instrumental. The Nearness of You is getting GREAT response at my gigs...regardless of style, instrumental or vocal.

In addition to being able to enjoy other members' interpretations of the songs, the eJam has been an inspiration, learning tool and music stimulus package (sorry Mr. President) for me.

I think the 'sentiment' behind the lyrics of "Nearness" leads to slower vocal versions....

Eddie,

An absolutely superb job, my friend...love the use of the Bebop style and the drum breaks....truly a beautiful arrangement.

Okay, I decided to enter this tune...This is just the way I would play it as a request on the job...No game plan, No chart...and mistakes that I like to call inflections..

It is more dance oriented , than a vocal arrangement..

needless to say..no overdubs..
