NICE WORK!
I am dancing, even before breakfast.
I really liked the into and ending.
thot the reverb was a tad much in the first half of the song. Maybe I need to check my EQ
Nice arrangement
thanks for sharing Fran,
Bebop Bill

Okay, I decided to enter this tune...This is just the way I would play it as a request on the job...No game plan, No chart...and mistakes that I like to call inflections..

It is more dance oriented , than a vocal arrangement..

needless to say..no overdubs..

Excellent Fran....nice job with the G70 Piano,Scats,& Organ too WOW really impressed!

Thanx

Good to hear you, Fran the Man. Welcome to the 'lounge'. I really like your version, good job with the piano and scat voices. So, what style did you use?

Great job, thanks.

Well...it's about time!

The G70 sounds great, Fran, especially the piano...intriguing arrangement, and interesting chords and voicing.

Thanks for sharing, buddy.

Ok here's my offering...actually I've bent the rules a bit as I decided to turn the arranger off and be totally different and try a bit of Tatum'esque reharmonisation based on the Nearness of You structure...it was chucked together so it's not up to my expectations but it gives you an idea of how and what I like to play when I'm not gigging.....hope you enjoy it.

Noel, Nice twist on Nearness, very Tatum'esque as y ou say. What brand of keyboard or piano are you playing it on?

Hi thanks for asking, its a Roland PF4...lovely to play, has the Roland Alpha keybed...has arranger functions but not keen on them...I'm more a pianist than an arranger player but use a S900 gigging...actually redone it as the orignal one I did was a bit short although prefered some of the Tatum chord changes in the first one.

Cheers
Noel
