Cassp, Ian, Bill in Denton, Eddie, Thank you for your kind comments.
Cassp, I can’t be the resident Theatre Organist, I can’t read music, I’ve never had a music lesson in my life. I taught myself chords and melody from a magazine, when I was asked to play piano with a band. They said they wanted me to play the same chords as them, (some sort of tradition I think) lol, I didn’t know what they were talking about at the time, but I said I did play the same chords as them, but not necessary at the same time.
I am pleased I learnt chords and melody, as the band broke up after a year, I carried on gigging for the next eleven years, until I had major surgery on my spine, and couldn’t carry the gear. Now I just play for my own pleasure, with some close friends.
Leon Redbone, never heard of him !!! Must go now, I have a broken guitar string to mend. where’s my Panama, and shads. Lol…….( Wikipedia )
Fred Wren.
