I am looking to buy a keyboard/synth that has really good sounds for ambient music with really good strings and lifelike orchestra sounds. I'm playing music similar to coldplay. Thanks a lot.

for strings anything kurzweil is good. i hate to admit it, but soft synths exceed at making pads, but anything Oberheim will do well, too.
