Hey Bill, You can always use your "hosts" file to block DNS names and/or IP addresses. C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Open with Notepad and make an entry like the following: 127.0.0.1 porn4porn.net 127.0.0.1 porncamz.com 127.0.0.1 pornclipstube.com 127.0.0.1 www.pornclipstube.com 127.0.0.1 pornfree.info 127.0.0.1 www.pornissex.com (there is supposed to be a "tab" space between the IP address and the DNS name) The IP address, 127.0.0.1, is called the IP Loopback address. It routes flow back to the network card itself (never goes out to the internet). A lot of malware/spyware programs do blocking this way. -mike [This message has been edited by msutliff (edited 07-05-2009).]

Oh, sorry Bill.
That's not a DOS prompt but rather the path to find the "hosts" file.
(C: drive, Windows folder, System32 subfolder, Drivers subfolder, Etc subfolder, hosts file (no extension))
If that looks jibberish to ya, hold off till I get to work on Tuesday so I can SnagIt some screen shots and show ya what I mean. That sample I showed you are actual lines from my "hosts" file here at home where I'm using SpySweeper as my spyware protection. It made those entries, I didn't. But you would substitute the URLs (or DNS names) that you want to block.

Hi Bill Are you running as an administrator, if so then the parental control website filtering will not work, and you will need to set up a lesser account, (Power User is ideal as it gives you most of the administrator account) The easiest way to do this, is to set up another account as an administrator, (Password protect it and make sure you don’t loose the password) then change your existing account to a Power User account, and you should now find that the parental website filter will now work. Hope this helps
Bill
