Even though the EFX is activated, it seems the patch(es) don't have the effect on them. Please help. I've been using the XP-30 for almost a year now, and haven't found out how to do this. Please help. Thanks.

Go into effects mode/menu and select "EFX" (rather than MIX) setting for each part of your performance you want "effected".

Thanks, I finally got it! By the way, did the manual have this bit of info? Or did you have to find this out by yourself? Could find it there, and just couldn't force myself to search for it, it's too bland.

But it is quite a hassle to keep switching back n forth from Part to Perf. mode, any easier way to set EFX on the channels? Maybe someone out there has a Cakewalk StudioWare that can set this easily?

Just one more question, whats the Patch Mode option I saw aside from the EFX and MIX Modes?

Thanks for the help again Wilkes, I really appreciate it.

The PATCH output setting for effects is described in the manual. It basically routes the effects settings of a patch (as they are in patch mode) to the outputs when that patch is used in performance mode (rather than applying the effects used by the rest of the performance).
