Thanks Ian,

Good point about the audience. I do believe it's all about audience/performer interaction.

Hi zuki

Had the chance to see your videos. I can see why you go over so well with the audiences. Your talent is obvious.

Looking forward to more and seeing your website.

Best
Scott

Thanks Scott. Nice hearing from you. I ran into a person up here in Ohio whose bro-in-law works for Fletcher and plays organ at the Tampa Bay games. If ever in Tampa, they invited me to contact him and he would set me up with tickets and let me sit in the organ booth - I'd be in heaven. I was thinking of you during our conversation.

Regards,
Jim

Fortunately the Yankees are making some noise with their bats ..

Jim, I wish you would record something with a good SOUND recorder. The camera mic just doesn't sound good. In fact it sounds bad.
It looks as if you can play and sing well, but you can't get a real idea of the PA800s sound from it.

I probably worked with him. Do you know his name?

Hi Don,

Yep, that little Mino is good for quick and dirty, but it is a VERY POOR representation of the sound (as you note). In fact, while live, the sound through the Podiums is rich and fills the room with unbelievable sound.

Thanks for your thoughts. I'm currently selling a few things to do exactly as you say - keep tuned

Is there a line in on this recorder? If you ran the audio direct and bypassed the on board mic, maybe it would produce better results?

Bill, have a better idea. Through the Mino software I can make a 'silent' movie and then link up the mp3 accordingly through a software program.

I don't know anything about how these recorders work...

You're saying the camera produces a mp3 of the audio portion of the recording? Wouldn't that still use the on board recording mic?

I was thinking if you could go line out from your mixer/amp/etc. straight to the camera/recorder, you'd bypass the mic part of the recording, which is where I think most of us feel its not up to snuff...
