I searched for any information about what it does, or fixes, Frank.. Couldn't find any. Did they clue you in to what it does?

From what I heard, the sampler was unlocked, or multisampling added, and also a couple of bugs addressed

Roland tend to do this too... release a minor upgrade, and provide NO documentation about what it does. At least Ketron EVENTUALLY get the docs out, but other than major upgrades, Roland keep better wraps on their update details than the CIA does about it's goings-on...

• System Fixes:-
1. Fixed various random crash issues when addressing Styles (audio changes to Drums or instruments when done quickly).
2. Fixed issue or machine freezing when editing and saving Midi files (data bus now has better management software).

• Registrations

1. Can now save Left Octave and Voice sliders ( Left, 2nd, Right ) positions.
2. Corrected the headphone functioning with metronome.
3. Improved the memory location control : this was responsible of some random malfunctions when loading or saving intensive Registration settings.

• New - Registration load mode :

1. New option found in Menu > keyboard Control > Utility > Next Page 2. With Mode 1 the right hand voice is changed immediatelly when a new Registration is loaded during play; with Mode 2 it is changed only at beginning of the next bar.

• New - Aftertouch & portamento autoswitch :

1. A new option added in Menu > Keyboard Control > Utility > Next Page 2. Permits the automatic switch-on for Portamento and Aftertouch tabs when a Preset or Program are recalled that includes such features.

• Output assign

1. we can assign the Bass Track of a midifile to out 3&4.

• Transposer

1. Corrected left keyboard transposer mode.

• Sampler

1. Multi Sample Editor now enhanced. Can load Multi-Samples and assign to keys with editor now available.

I agree, all I know is that "C" comes after "A".

That's all I know

Thanks, AJ... Is there some area of the website that this is usually posted (I looked and looked )?

Probably a few are salivating over the sampler section, but one word 'sampler' doesn't really satisfy their hunger. Any chance of more detail about it's capabilities, yet? That Akai import might be one of the main things we'd want to know, for instance...

www.ketron.it (English flag) - Software - AUDYA - scroll to bottom. Unfortunately, English link appears to be broken but I'm working on it. In the meantime, the Italian one is ok .. for now.

Sampler reads WAV files (for now). You can load multiple Wav files and assign to various keys to create an entirely new RAM/INS sound playable on the RIGHT or LEFT side of the keyboard (or the entire keyboard in PIANIST mode) or used by styles ...etc.

Thanks,

AJ

I updated mine today. It's quick and easy, but you do have to leave the page in Italian. If you switch to English the link won't work.
Once you download and open the file, it's in English anyway.
