Hi Chas,

Thanks for thinking of me, buddy...I was very busy these past few weeks with finishing up some gigs and clinics, and, being naturally allergic to work, it wore me out.

Things have finally quieted down a bit.

Glad everything's ok. After Gary's recent incident, I guess all of us 'youngsters' are a little bit jittery. ......and especially with you being up there in 'no man's land' and all . Glad your health's holding up and you're working hard (keeps you out of trouble ).

I'm getting bored, post something. Now that Diki has come out on the side of 'no unnecessary languages', I have no friends left .

I found this old picture the other day...it's an R&B band I played with in the late 70's...I'm on the far left.

I was using a B3, Rhodes, Wurly and Polymoog back then.

Great bunch of guys, and good players too.

It's strange looking back.

You know, you could go right out on the Jam Band circuit today with outfits like that

And that keyboard selection would probably be just about perfect, too!

Watch out, Widespread... the Canuck's are coming!

Here I am at a campus gig with my band members around 1976. I am on the right pointing skyward. Note the shoulder length hair and flaired jeans .... so 70s

Looks like you and Nigel started something. The pics are great. Maybe someone should start a 'back in the day' photo thread. Instead of "Where are they now?", it could be "Where were they then?". It takes real courage to show ourselves as we were 20, 30, 40 years ago, but it sure is fun. Let the brave step forward.

While exposing ourselves in pictures from 'back in the day' takes a certain amount of courage, what would be really brave would be to post any recorded music from those days...

It's one thing to find ourselves in love with modern technology and mechanical accompaniment as we get older, but to listen to what we do now and then compare it to how we played and sounded 'back in the day' with those behemoth keyboards and a REAL band with fire and passion (and wacky outfits ) might bring to light just how much LESS we are willing to accept, these days...

That's me kneeling on the right......(scary
This was one of my first R&R bands.
Back then I played such keyboards as the Hammond B3, Farfisa Compact, Vox Continental, Fender Rhodes.

All right. see what you started.

I'm the bearded guy with the Cordovox.

played Cordovox in this band and Guitar in a local bar band during this period.

I was also at Woodstock 40 years ago.

Hi Nigel,
small world.
That's my old school.
I did years 7 to 12 there, I went to tech instead of high school.
I'd left by the 70's.
best wishes
Rikki
