Shame the website is in German and you have to register to download the files.

Not worth effort in my opinion. Maybe I'm just going lazy though.

James

Thanks for the info.

I tried to download the styles, however looks like they are overloaded with requests.

Said "try again later"

If you drop me an e-mail I will send them to you.
However only the first 25 e-mailers will receive them for free, yes that's right: absolutely free.
So hurry as time runs out.
Make sure you'll get your free styles before others do...

Just kidding...
Drop me an e-mail.
Eric

I was able to download them without problem. For some reason, I was alrady registered at their website. Maybe it's the same as Yamaha.

This is very great support on the part of Yamaha, to provide some free styles. If you think that the premium styles at their website cost $6.95, then 25 styles comes out to $173.75.

I'll look forward to using them someday on my PSR-S910. Will probably have to be converted, but will require less tweaking than it would with the PSR-S900 which doesn't have the new style format.

Downloaded the styles - tried them on my Tyros 3. Deleted all of them.

Enough said.

"Shame the website is in German" ??
It IS a German site James !
Why should they put effort in another language? For us it's just one of the 3 languages we study at school

btw I only kept the 5 T3 styles

Wow, I want to be "just" "like" "you" so I no longer have to feel stupid that I don't know German since it's such an International language the world over.

Here's what it says in German:

3 Style-Packs zum kostenlosen Download unter folgenden Links:

Béon Dance, BrokenBeat, HotColdRock, KellyBeat, MandoRock
WSP-002 World Style Pack 2 / Eastern Europe
10 Styles Formate XA, X9, XT, für alle neueren Yamaha Keyboards + CVP
Alboszmy PL, Cyganocka RUS, Ej Macejko SL, Kacila se djulber Neda BG, Lowiczanka PL, Monti Czardas HU, Midnight In Moscow (Podmoskovnyje vecera) RUS, Rosamunde (Skoda lasky) CZ, Stara Lipa CZ, Zorbas Dance GR
OSP-004 Oriental Style Pack 4 / Turkish Pop
10 Styles Format XT, für Tyros1/2/3, PSR3000, PSR-S700/900 u.a.

I just downloaded the T3 style as I'm not interested in the other styles.

It seems there is one vote that they all suck, and one vote that the T3 styles are acceptable.

Dunno about that!

Even if they are not your musical cuppa tea, do you think they compare with the ROM styles as far as programming and balance? Do they sound as if they are from the same style house that made the ROM stuff? Are the Intros and Endings cool?

If their value is being compared to Yamaha paid for new styles, how do they hold up?

Thanks Yamaha Germany for the styles!

I don't speak German, but it wasn't that hard to figure out how to download them. Like so many stylepacks I have, there are only a few real keepers I like a lot. I'd like to know and hear what (German) songs these styles are for..................-charley

I checked out the pop styles (I didn't even try to load the T3 styles). There are 10 Turkish pop styles. They sound very professional if you are a Turkish musician. Maybe they could be used to spice up Israeli songs at a Jewish community.
