i thought PATTERN EDIT was one of the major additions for OS3 ??

seems like the most basic, and MOST necessary function of them all which should have been there since day 1

AJ?

I dont necesarilly need a synth next to me to tell if there is something new or not.
Just by their information on an 18 PAGE USER MANUAL i already see it, there is
NOTHING NEW or astonishing, its just repainted over and thats about it.
Still no word on Sample Editing and Style Editing... Watch now: Oh there is Style
Editing, since begining...Yes there is, like on a 250$ Casio Organtone.
What an embarassment...

Plenty of embarrassment to go around, though...

Are all the other arrangers that can do detail editing embarrassed about their SOUND, in comparison to the Audya?

There's just no getting around that, while the Audya may still be a bit rough around the edges, and may NEVER have editing tools the equivalent of Korg or Roland (and shouldn't Korg be 'embarrassed' that their style and SMF editing tools are a shadow of how good Roland's are? ), they don't have to apologize for how the sound is. There isn't another arranger on the market that comes as close to nailing the 'live band' sound as they do.

Sure you have to give up a LOT for it (more than I am willing to), but much of the detail editing that you lose is lost on most arranger players, anyway...

Yep, it's lost on me. I can easily change or mute volumes, change sounds or kits, add audio drums, add audio guitar, loops, arps, riffs, etc.

I barely scratch the surface on this. So far haven't found that much I want to change. Maybe take out a part or two.
I'm trying to edit a guitar sound to get the Warm Drive sound I use a lot on the Roland. I think I can get there. The tools are there at least.
