Hello my friends!

Today, I had the chance, to test the Wing.

At first, I have to tell you, that Wersi send me an invitation, to make some playing tests on it, weeks ago. I was really really proud and surprised about it!

Well, I have to say, that it is a very very great instrument!

The sound is great (unfortunally, it hasnīt any intern boxes!).

In the next weeks, wersi would like to send me one, to bring up some stuff to youtube.

When I got more information about it, I will take you all on the actually stand!

Best regards from germany! Robert ,-)

Please forgive me, for my written english!

Can you please explain that again thank you. Your English is very good but I'm not sure what you mean when you say is doesn't have any intern boxes.

Kind Regards
James

Robert quite probably means there are no internal speakers.

Hi Robert.
Just wondering, why do you see the lack of internal speakers as a negative ?

Personally for me I'd see that as a positive. Keyboards with on-board speakers tend to be considered less professional and more budget or home keyboards. The are no use on stage or in the Studio, so the only use you might use them is in the home.

I know that's a rather general statement I've just painted every arranger keyboard with, but there is a certain amount of truth to it.

I bet the Pegasus will sound far better through a pair of studio monitors than it could ever with internal speakers.

Regards
James.

I like having the on-baord speakers...all my Yamaha arrangers have had them...Roland ones too (except the modules .

I don't care if someone doesn't think the arranger isn't "pro"...I like the convenience of not having to switch on my monitors if I just want to play for a bit, or do some style editing.

My synths and band keyboards never had speakers, but somehow, to me, having them on an arranger seems more appropriate....sort of the all-in-one, go anywhere music laboratory/studio/fun machine.

I've made some serious money with an instrument that some pros don't take seriously.

Ian ... I'm with you on the internal speakers ...they are SUCH a convenience ... even when using a PA system they can be used as monitors ... and I find it amazing what some people will use as a measurement of whether or not a KB is 'PROFESSIONAL' ...

Me too, but can you see what I mean though ?. I did point out that it was painting all arrangers with a very general statement, but there is a certain amount of truth to it.

Throw everything into one big pot, workstations, arrangers and home keyboards. Then stand back and look at what you have here.

Both Yamaha and KORG have moved away from including them on-board and workstations don't have them either. Generally speaking only the budget lower priced keyboards do nowadays, where the more expensive models don't.

So there is a certain amount of truth in the statement. What ya think ?

It has not always been this way, but in the last few years it's hard to ignore.

James

The Korg PA-800 has built in speakers, as well as Roland's recently departed E-80...I would say they are TOTL arrangers.

The newer Roland arrangers offer speakers(Prelude) or speaker-less(GW-8)..of course, they are low end, but they still offer many pro features (except style assembly... Grrrr).

The Tyros has always offered matching (attachable) factory speakers as an option.

The MOTL arrangers, like the S910, are far from being a burden instruments in this range used to be...in fact ever since the PSR-2k, the mid line is impressive to play...I have the Tyros3 here as well, and I prefer playing the S910...it's just exactly what I want in an arranger...especially the built in speakers.

I forgot...one of my first band keyboards, the Hammond M-3, had a built in speaker...I'm so ashamed.
